Concrete specimens are cast to determine compressive strength properties of the concrete. For each sample, the concrete is tested for approximate water/cement ratio (slump test), air content (both entrapped and entrained), and concrete temperature. Ambient temperature is recorded as well.
Services Include:
TxDOT High Early Strength Concrete Paving Repairs: Concrete is sampled by an ACI certified field technician and transported to our facility after 4 hours of field curing. After the samples are transported to our facility, the specimens are tested for compressive strength by a ACI certified strength testing technician until the minimum compressive strength is reached and the road can then be opened for traffic. This service is provided to multiple clients throughout Houston and surrounding areas.
